Drake Maverick was publicly released by WWE this month, but the wrestler says he has no plans of leaving without the NXT Cruiserweight title.

Maverick defeated Tony Nese after hitting a bulldog from the top rope in his second NXT Cruiserweight title tournament match Wednesday night. After the match was over, Drake said the following while being interview:

"I did it! I told everybody I was going to do it. There was a little bit where I didn't believe myself, but I did it. And Kushida, you're all that's next! You can call me the 'Wolf of Wall Street,' the Wolf of NXT. I'm not freaking leaving yet! I'm not leaving because I love this. I live for this! And I'm not leaving until I'm the NXT Cruiserweight Champion."

This is obviously a reference to the monologue from Leonardo Dicaprio's character in the 2013 movie "The Wolf of Wall Street."

As you'll recall, the 37-year old wrestler was released with other notable names this month amidst a cost-cutting measure by WWE. He still continued in the tournament, however, but lost in his first tournament match last week (which is being determined by round robin rules).
