Kenny Omega, considered by many to be the one of the best wrestlers in the world, got pinned clean on Saturday night … by Impact Wrestling announcer Don Callis.
Omega and Callis were on opposing sides of a six-man tag match Saturday night at the 17th anniversary event for Premiere Championship Wrestling, where Kenny worked early in his career.
As you may recall, Callis — who is also an Executive Vice President at Impact Wrestling — turned on Kenny back in October at a PCW event.
During the match on Saturday, Callis and Kenny finally went toe-to-toe. Don attempted a One Winged Angel at one point in the match, but when Omega slipped out Callis was able to recover by hitting a Rainmaker! The finish came about after Chris Jericho’s music hit and Kenny got distracted. When he turned around, Callis hit the Codebreaker for a clean victory.
Yes, this means one of the Executive Vice Presidents of Impact Wrestling defeated one of the Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling.
