DJ Hyde -- the owner of CZW -- called an audience member a "stupid f*cking f*ggot" on Wednesday evening before a deathmatch ... and now the wrestler tells us he's very sorry.

The moment happened last night at the Tender Trap in Brooklyn as Hyde was preparing to face-off against Casanova Valentine. The wrestler cut a promo to kick things off, but reacted to a fan yelling "f*ck you" and said: "Why do you want to f*ck me? You stupid f*cking f*ggot. When did Tender Trap become a gay bar?"

Pro Wrestling Sheet reached out to Hyde after the video began to spread online and the wrestler says he made a "very regrettable" decision with his "poor choice of words" in attempt to get heel heat.

"I'm very upset I said it, more than you know," DJ continued. "I don't want to make any excuses. I regret it so much. I'm not a bigot, a racist or a homophobe. It was wrong of me."

Footage of the moment can be found below.
