Wrestling fans could be seeing UFC fighter Daniel Cormier on WWE programming sometime in the near future, just not in the ring like you'd expect.

At a UFC media day on Friday, the double champion told reporters he was forced to push back his upcoming tryout for WWE when his last-minute main event at UFC 230 was finalized.

"I've been talking to the WWE because they wanted me to go in and do an audition as a member of the commentary team," said Cormier, grinning. "After the fight, I'll go down to Orlando and do my tryout."

"I want to freak out next to the [table] with Vince in my ear, going, 'Say this, you assh*le!'"

In the meantime, Cormier will be preparing to defend his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Derrick Lewis at Madison Square Garden on November 3rd.
