After busting his head open on the entrance ramp last night during Full Gear, AEW says Cody Rhodes is not currently cleared to wrestle.

All Elite Wrestling put out an update on Cody which states the wrestler required 8 stitches on Saturday night after his match against World champ Chris Jericho.

The company claims Cody also suffered a costochondral separation -- which is a bruising ribs -- therefore he's currently unable to wrestle at this time.

In case you missed it ... Rhodes was unsuccessful in his attempt to defeat Jericho for the AEW title after MJF threw in the towel for Cody, then turned on him.

The head injury came about when Rhodes dove to the outside and landed face-first on the ramp.
