Cody Rhodes hit a moonsault off the cage during AEW’s first cage match … and it was just as awesome as his past attempts.
Rhodes faced-off against Wardlow in the main event of Dynamite on Wednesday in a steel cage match.
Cody was busted open early on, but continued to battle for the right to wrestle against his former protege at Revolution. At one point in the match, the cage door popped open and MJF tried to convince Arn Anderson to slam it on Rhodes’ head … but “The Enforcer” slammed it on MJF’s head instead.
Things all came to a head when a bloodied Cody Rhodes climbed to the top of the structure as expected and launched himself off to land a moonsault on his opponent for the pinfall victory.
This means Cody will now officially wrestle against MJF at Revolution later this month.
