CM Punk Praises NXT’s Pat McAfee

CM Punk hasn’t been particularly impressed with the quality of NXT shows lately … but he did have some kind words for Pat McAfee.

Punk took to Twitter on Friday and shared some thoughts about WWE’s black and gold brand.

“A lot of it has to do with circumstance, but everyone else on the show(s) should feel embarrassment, and subsequently USE said feeling to better themselves, at the fact that [Pat McAfee] is a better promo than everyone on the show(s),” the former WWE Champion tweeted.

He may have been damning with faint praise, but it’s clear that Punk has been impressed McAfee’s work.

Punk later responded to a fan and reiterated his belief that McAfee was the best thing on NXT … other than Rhea Ripley.

McAfee — who came up short in his debut match against Adam Cole at TakeOver XXX back in August — will get a shot at redemption this coming Sunday when he and his crew take part in a War Games match against Cole and the rest of Undisputed Era.
