AEW will resume live tapings of Dynamite starting next month and former champion Chris Jericho commented on the decision in a new interview.

As we previously reported, AEW will once again film at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida without an audience to continue the build to Double or Nothing on May 23. We're told some of the shows will air live on TNT and some will be filmed live to tape.

"We're trying to start slowly and integrate back into life and I think it's perfect," Jericho told Newsweek when asked about the decision in a new interview. "Obviously, we'll take precautions and all that sort of stuff but it's time to get back on track and I'm looking forward to it."

As you'll recall ... WWE was met with criticism earlier this month after confirming plans to return to live tapings at the Performance Center. The company then changed course and decided to film in batches to help increase the level of safety for everyone involved in the tapings.

Jericho also touched on being impressed by the passion of the AEW roster while continuing to film shows during the pandemic without a crowd. "The most important thing is to put on an entertaining show," he stated. "I think with these guys going out there and having great matches in front of nobody just shows the amount of dedication they have."
