Lesnar Brock UfC return WWE deal wrestling mma fighting

Brock Lesnar will compete at UFC 200 on July 9th … but he’s still under contract with WWE.

The bombshell announcement was made Saturday night at UFC 199 in Los Angeles and WWE quickly released a statement afterward saying he’s still signed to a deal with the company.

WWE’s statement says, “Brock Lesnar remains under contract, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200. Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21 live on WWE Network.”

Lesnar’s last MMA match was on December 30, 2011 at UFC 141 against Alistair Overeem. He retired from the octagon after losing that match and later re-signed with WWE. He made his return at RAW on April 2, 2012. In March of 2015 he agreed to his current contract—a three-year part-time deal.

Brock’s opponent is yet to be disclosed, but one thing’s for sure — it’s going to be a Beast of a summer.
