Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship for the first time in his career after he defeated The Miz on the latest edition of Raw
Lashley earned a shot at the WWE Championship when he defeated Braun Strowman on last week’s Raw. The title match was scheduled to take place at the top of the second hour, but The Miz feigned an injury which forced a delay.
Later in the night, the match finally went ahead, but the cowardly champ ran away and retained his title by countout.
Following Lashley’s countout victory, Shane McMahon offered Miz an ultimatum: defend the title properly, or relinquish it.
The Miz reluctantly agreed to defend his title, and just before the match began, Shane made it a Lumberjack match.
With no way to escape, “The ALmighty” Bobby Lashley easily overpowered his opponent, and captured the WWE Championship for the first time in his career.
As you might recall, Lashley helped the Miz win the title in the first place. Lashley attacked Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber. This allowed The Miz to cash in his Money In The Bank contract on McIntyre and win the championship.
