Ex-WWE and TNA wrestler Awesome Kong -- aka Kharma -- will be bringing some veteran experience to Netflix's new G.L.O.W. comedy series ... because she's landed a recurring guest role.
The casting was announced this morning by Deadline Hollywood, and we're told it's not just a one-time appearance, she'll be seen in multiple episodes.
Kong -- real name Kia Stevens -- will be playing the role of Tammé, an 80’s TV actress who is always the guest star, never the star. Our sources tell us the role is very Jackée Harry-like and a complete 180-degree turn from the character she's played on TV for years.
Mr. Robot star Sunita Mani and American Idol season 8 participant Jackie Tohn were also added to the cast, which already includes Alison Brie and Marc Maron.
As we previously reported, Chavo Guerrero Jr. is training the women to wrestle.
The show started filming this week and is expected to air next year.
