Former NXT Champion Andrade 'Cien' Almas has officially parted ways with WWE after six years with the company.

WWE announced the news on its website on Sunday evening.

"WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors," the announcement read. WrestlingInc.com reported that Andrade asked for his release on Monday at Raw. The report was later confirmed by Alex McCarthy of TalkSport.
Andrade teased his release on social media shortly before it was made official. Andrade – real name Manuel Oropeza – signed with WWE in 2015. On November 18 2017 at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, he defeated Drew McIntyre to become NXT Champion. As we previously reported, Andrade's former on-screen manager Zelina Vega was released by WWE in November of last year.
