Alberto El Patron Terminated from Impact Wrestling

alberto el patron del rio impact wrestling fired

Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed Alberto El Patron was fired from Impact Wrestling today … this after he didn’t appear as scheduled at the Impact vs. Lucha Underground event.

The company put out a statement saying, “IMPACT Wrestling announced today that it has terminated its agreement with Alberto El Patron, effective immediately.”

Patron was scheduled to wrestle in a tag match during last night’s main event and was present at WrestleCon to hype things beforehand, but no explanation was given when he ultimately wasn’t at the show. The match was turned into a three-way between Austin Aries, Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr.

We reached out to Alberto for clarification on why he wasn’t present at the show and will update the story if the wrestler gets back to us.

  1. Alberto is a piece of crap. Impact gave him everything; treated this guy like a king. Gave this idiot his own trailer. And repays them by no showing two events for the company at Wrestlecon.

The company has a PPV in 15 days and this idiot ruined everything.

Alberto Del Rio is a pure scumbag.

    • he did someone a favor being cage or eli or whoever will fight AA for the belt.. ADR is a POS though you’re right about that. He’s gonna burn every bridge there is

He didn’t ruin everything, we’re getting a triple threat rematch from Impact vs. Lucha Underground with Aries vs. Fenix vs. Pentagon Jr. for the World Heavyweight Championship. I say that’s a much better match than Aries vs El Patron

Weren’t you excited when he came to tna?

      • Not to speak for anyone else, but I wasn’t overly thrilled when he came to Impact Wrestling. Been watching for a good 9-10 years now and he ranks pretty low on the ‘excited he is coming’ rankings for me.

      • Yes. I thought it was a good singing and a risk worth taking having seen him Lucha Underground in season 1. As a wrestler / worker, Alberto was really good. he had good matches with LAX, Low Ki, EC3 for his year there. Unfortunately , the bullshit personal life of his came as well and just made a mess of everything.

Yeah, I know. The dude is freaking weird. All the talent in the world but a complete goon.

  2. WWE, he’s all yours. Enjoy.

  4. I will never understand what wrestling companies see in Alberto? He’s not a big draw. To me, he’s wasted air time. There’s nothing interesting about his character and no matter how hard wrestling promotions are thrown at him, he falls flat.
