Georgia's long history with wrestling will continue in 2020 when AEW presents its first event in Atlanta, the home of Turner headquarters.

AEW has announced Dynamite will emanate from the State Farm Arena on February 19. Tickets to the event go on sale this Friday.

To make the announcement, the company put out a cool video featuring Cody Rhodes.

"Deep beneath the Georgia red clay, pro wrestling has roots in the South," Rhodes says in the video. "Think about all the great wrestlers who have come from Georgia. The Armstrongs, Arn Anderson, Ron Simmons, Ray Traylor ... it's quite a list."

He then talked about the creation of WCW and Ted Turner changing the industry from Atlanta.

"Which is why when AEW became official, what I'm about to tell you became inevitable. That we had to come to the state of Georgia. That we had to come to the city of Atlanta," Cody added. "If you're gonna do it, do it big. Which is why February 19th, AEW will present Dynamite from the State Farm Arena." For those wondering, the State Farm Arena can seat up to 21,000 people.

The company also put out a press release today touting they've sold over 100,000 tickets to live events in 2019, which they say is an average of 5,701 seats a show.
