Major League Baseball broadcaster Adnan Virk is officially the new play-by-play voice of Monday Night Raw on USA Network.

Richard Deitsch of The Athletic broke the news on the Monday after WrestleMania 37. WWE later confirmed Virk's signing on their website.

Virk will continue his MLB hosting duties while also working for WWE. He previously covered college football and baseball for ESPN, where he gained experience as a play-by-by announcer.

“I'm elated to be joining the premier sports-entertainment company in my new role with WWE,” Virk said.  “As a kid who grew up idolizing WWE Hall of Famers like Bret Hart and Ric Flair, the opportunity to call modern legends like Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair and so many others alongside Corey Graves and Byron Saxton is truly humbling."

WWE also revealed that Tom Phillips is set to become the new host of 205 Live. Phillips will also host WWE programming on Peacock and remain his role as a Senior Manager, On Air Talent.

The announce desk shake-up paves the way for Samoa Joe to return to the ring, as WWE confirmed that he remains a part of their roster.
