The UK Championship Tournament created mass exposure for 16 captivating talents … and now WWE has pulled some of those stars from an upcoming event.
WXW released a statement today saying, “Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Pete Dunne are unable to compete for wXw in London on January 28th due to WWE-commitments.”
The company goes on to say that, in cooperation with PROGRESS Wrestling, London Riots will now replace Bate and Trent — known collectively as Moustache Mountain — to face A4.
WXW says they have contacted WWE about the future of the three wrestlers and will provide information on that when it becomes available.
With January 28th being one day before the Royal Rumble … speculation has started to arise as to whether they’ll be involved in NXT TakeOver, the annual PPV or even the Rumble match itself.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
