It's official! Next year's SummerSlam events will take place in Toronto.
ET Canada announced SummerSlam, Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live and NXT TakeOver will all emanate from the Scotiabank Arena next August as rumored.
You might recall a recent Sasha Banks interview made it sound like WWE would be returning to Los Angeles for the annual event ... but clearly she was misinformed.
“We are thrilled to bring WWE’s biggest event of the summer back to Toronto,” said John Saboor, WWE executive vice-president, special events. “We look forward to working with our partners at Tourism Toronto and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to build a blueprint that welcomes our global fan base to the great city of Toronto.”
SummerSlam was last held in Toronto in 2004.
