2018 has been a year of unexpected things happening in wrestling, and now you can add one more to the list -- as NXT stars won gold in EVOLVE. 

It all went down on Sunday at EVOLVE 114 in Ybor City, Florida when the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) defeated Doom Patrol (Chris Dickinson and Jaka) to become the EVOLVE Tag Team Champions!

After the win, EVOLVE announced the new champs will appear on all their remaining dates in 2018. This includes Detroit on November 9, Chicago on November 10 and New York on Dec 15/16.

Then, later in the night, Fabian Aichner defeated Shane Strickland to capture the EVOLVE Championship.

In case you missed it, EVOLVE announced this week that future matches involving WWE talent will be now be shown on their Club WWN broadcasts.  Mustafa Ali is the next talent scheduled to appear at their events. He'll be wrestling DJZ and Darby Allin.
