After missing this week's Smackdown Live due to a police dog biting him, Shinsuke Nakamura re-surfaced Thursday at a live event in Tokyo on crutches.
According to those in attendance ... Nakamura came out to cut a promo for the fans and was interrupted by Samoa Joe, who locked him in the Coquina Clutch.
Joe went on to face A.J. Styles later in the show.
As we previously reported, the dog that bit Shinsuke is part of the Bakersfield Police Department Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Team. The group was sweeping the arena ahead of a live event when the dog bit Nakamura in the lower left leg.
According to police, the former two-time NXT champion was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The WWE Smackdown crew has one more show in Tokyo set for tomorrow night.
