The numbers don't lie and neither does Samoa Joe, who says he never took offense to Scott Steiner's infamous math promo about him because it was good for business.
First, for those who have somehow never seen the 2008 promo, watch below:
Fast forward to a Q&A session with Sam Roberts at Carolines on Broadway in New York on Thursday, where Joe was asked about his reaction at the time.
Surprisingly, the wrestler revealed he was actually standing behind the camera when it was filmed and he loved it. "What you guys don't know is that the promo actually broke 6 or 7 times because Petey Williams couldn't keep his sh*t together. And Scotty's math just got better and better each time."
Joe went on to explain that he doesn't take offense to things said in promos because everyone is just selling a fight ... adding, "Whatever you need to say about me to sell that fight, let's sell that fight."
