Following the heartbreaking announcement he made during last night’s edition of Raw, Roman Reigns took to social media on Tuesday to send thanks to the wrestling community.
“Thank you to everyone who’s reached out,” Reigns tweeted. “I can’t put into words what it means to me.” Adding, “Your energy and positivity motivate me to get better quickly to get back in the ring, but for now I’m going to spend time with my family and focus on health.”
As we previously reported, Roman announced he’s relinquishing the title and taking a leave of absence due to leukemia that had been in remission recently returning. In a backstage video shared by WWE.com afterward, Roman can be seen getting lots of love from his colleagues.
The former Universal Champion closed his message writing, “Thank you – Joe/Roman.”
