It's already been announced that Rey Mysterio would be appearing on the 1000th episode of SmackDown, but now WWE has confirmed he's back with the company full-time.

WWE.com reports, "Rey Mysterio is back with WWE on a full-time basis, meaning the WWE Universe will have the opportunity to see The Master of The 619 live and in person in the very near future."

Earlier this month, PWInsider reported Mysterio's new contract is for two years.

As you may recall, Rey's last contract expired in 2015 after he led a campaign for his release. He returned earlier this year at the Royal Rumble, then again at the Greatest Royal Rumble. After his inclusion in WWE 2K19 was made public, it seemed like only a matter of time before he returned.

In addition to all of this, WWE announced Mysterio will be facing off against Shinsuke Nakamura next week on SD 1000 for a spot in the upcoming World Cup at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
