Rey Mysterio is “praying” he’ll be fit to compete at WrestleMania following an injury scare during his match with Baron Corbin on Monday.

“The Ultimate Underdog” took to Instagram to share footage of the spot that caused his ankle to buckle beneath him and wrote, “Suffered an injury on my right ankle this past Monday night on Raw against [Baron Corbin]. Praying to be ready for Mania this Sunday!”

According to sources, Mysterio was seen in walking-cast today in New York.

Rey’s injury was announced before SmackDown this week. It was said he’d be re-evaluated closed to “The Show of Shows” before it’s determined if his scheduled match against Samoa Joe for the United States Title on Sunday would still take place.
