Ring of Honor star Adam Cole surprised audience-goers Friday night at PWG All Star Weekend in Reseda by making an unannounced return to the company ... and he wasn't the only one.

Cole -- initially disguised as Super Dragon -- made his appearance to even the odds after a brawl broke out between Mt. Rushmore 2.0 and some of the PWG roster following the main event.

The legion hall EXPLODED once Dragon unmasked to reveal he was actually Adam Cole ... then, of course, he stuck around to sell shirts with The Young Bucks and Roderick Strong.

Recently released NXT Superstar Solomon Crowe -- aka Sami Callihan -- also surprised those in attendance with an appearance.  Following his match, the wrestler confirmed our exclusive report during a promo ... saying he had been "locked in a cage" for the past two years and was ready to prove he's one of the best wrestlers in the world.

No word yet on how ROH was convinced to allow Cole's appearance, but we'll keep you updated.
