Pete Dunne Will Defend UK Championship at NXT TakeOver, But It Won’t Air on WWE Network

pete dunne nxt takeover wont air network johnny gargano

WWE has announced Pete Dunne will defend the UK Championship at TakeOver. The bad news, however, is that it’s only for the live audience.

The company’s announcement says he’ll be wrestling Johnny Gargano on November 18 and explains: “The match will not air as part of that night’s TakeOver: WarGames live special on WWE Network, meaning those lucky NXT fans in attendance in the Toyota Center will have an exclusive opportunity to watch the title bout unfold before their eyes.”

In case you missed it, Dunne also made his first appearance on RAW this week.

It’s unclear if the match will eventually air on NXT TV.

Why would they not air this!? I can only hope they’ll show it on the next week’s show, which is traditionally made up of pre-takeover matches. Dunne vs. Gargano should be amazing!

Yeah but for the title deems dumb when there are a ton of actual UK wrestlers who are deserving.

They could be saving it, if not for the week after War Games, then for the Christmas week episode.

They always tape 2 or 3 matches before take over to air on the following Wednesday’s tv show
