WWE No Mercy Predictions And Analysis with Editor-in-Chief Ryan Satin

no mercy predictions wwe wrestling

No Mercy is 24 hours away and the card is STACKED … so join me as I have some fun predicting the winners of each match before the big event.

Don’t adjust your computer screen (or phone), I’m not James McKenna. I know he normally does these, but due to circumstances beyond our control … you’re stuck with me.

LET’S DO THIS.

Intercontinental Championship

The Miz (C) vs. Jason Jordan

Jason Jordan’s run as the son of Kurt Angle has been less than stellar and it’s hard to imagine he picks up the win here. There’s absolutely no need to take the Intercontinental title off of Miz. He’s on fire.

Plus, I’ve got a feeling this feud isn’t ending anytime soon.

Educated Guess: The Miz via distraction from Bo Dallas and/or Curtis Axel

Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt

No, this isn’t a face-paint on a pole match … but recent creative efforts have made it feel that way.

It’s honestly difficult to predict a winner because these two have been going back and forth for awhile now, with seemingly no end in sight, and there aren’t really stakes on the line for this match.

Therefore, I’ll just flip a coin while writing this for my pick. Heads is Wyatt. Tails is Balor.

Educated Guess: Bray Wyatt via pinfall

Raw Tag Team Championship

Ambrose and Rollins (C) vs. Sheamus and Cesaro

The not-quite-Shield has made Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose feel fresh again and a tag team title switch at No Mercy just wouldn’t make sense.

I’d LOVE to see Rollins/Ambrose get an actual team name though, or at least reunite with Roman for one night so he can give his blessing for them to be called The Shield again.

Educated Guess: Ambrose and Rollins via pinfall

Cruiserweight Championship

Neville (C) vs. Enzo Amore

Neville’s move to 205 Live has been a major success and helped him transform into a great villain, but I’m not sure it’s necessarily brought more eyes to the show.

Enzo, on the other hand, has seemingly sparked the interest of many Raw viewers who are watching to see if he can hold his own against all the other cruiserweight competitors. For those who haven’t been paying attention though, it’s clear his character is acting slightly more heelish.

Can’t decide on whether we’ll get a full heel turn here, but the low blow Amore gave Neville this week might be an indication of where this match is heading.

Educated Guess: Enzo Amore (NEW CHAMP)

Raw Women’s Championship

Alexa Bliss (C) vs Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Emma vs. Nia Jax

Prior to Bayley’s injury it seemed like we were heading towards a heel turn from Sasha Banks, but the landscape of Raw has since changed and the show is pretty heel heavy for women. Regardless, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them go back to teasing an end to their friendship.

Additionally, Asuka’s debut is on the horizon and one would think she’s got her sights set on the Raw Women’s Championship. Knowing that, I believe WWE creative is looking to keep Alexa as strong as possible before they eventually lock up.

Educated Guess: Alexa Bliss via pinfall

John Cena vs. Roman Reigns

People may refuse to accept it, but Roman Reigns is the future in Vince McMahon’s eyes.  This means he HAS to win here so there can be a quasi-passing of the torch … otherwise, there’s no point.

What’s the upside in a Cena win? We all know he’s going away again to film another movie. We all know Roman is more than likely going to main event WrestleMania again.

Regardless, they’ve done a stellar job building to this match and the energy in Los Angeles should be electric on Sunday when these two go at it.

Educated Guess: Roman Reigns via pinfall

Universal Championship Match

Brock Lesnar (C) vs Braun Strowman

Braun’s big moment will be a sight to see. His matches against Big Show have already proven to be entertaining as hell and a singles match against Brock on Sunday should be even better.

As great as this match will be though, I doubt Braun wins the Universal Championship.  I just have a hard time believing Vince pulls the trigger on Strowman ending Brock’s reign.

Would be great if he proves me wrong though, because that would be AWESOME to see live.

Educated Guess: Brock Lesnar via F-5
