AEW stars Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley may have upcoming bookings in NJPW, but there is NOT an official working relationship between the two companies.

In case you missed it, Moxley was revealed to be the man behind recent NJPW vignettes targeting Juice Robinson. His debut in the company will happen on June 5 in Ryogoku Sumo Hall. Jericho will wrestle Kazuchika Okada on June 9 at NJPW Dominion.

New Japan GM Michael Craven released a statement to Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso after Moxley's booking to clarify the company's relationship with AEW:

"New Japan and Jon Moxley came to terms on an agreement some time ago, completely independently of All Elite. Our understanding is that he is free to wrestle in Japan. We wish AEW well, but have no working relationship as of now."

According to AEW sources, the company is just allowing some of their talent to accept outside bookings they'd like to take. Tony Khan told the media after Double or Nothing that Moxley's full-time deal kicks in once their TNT show begins. However, Jon's deal states that he can do international bookings and some other stuff when the schedule is light.
