Former SmackDown Live announcer Mauro Ranallo is set to make his return to cable TV, but not for WWE — this time he’ll be doing commentary for Bellator.
The company announced today that Ranallo has signed a multi-event broadcast agreement that will see him join their announce team on Spike beginning June 24.
It was also announced that ex-UFC announcer Mike Goldberg would be joining the team as well.
Mauro parted ways with WWE back in April, but the press release doesn’t reference his time with the company — it simply states: “Throughout his career, Ranallo has spent time working with various sports outside of MMA, including boxing, professional wrestling, kickboxing and ice hockey, and will continue his work with Showtime Boxing.”
Excited to see Mauro back on cable? Sound off in the comments.
