Matt Hardy's time in WWE could be coming to an end soon, as the wrestler says he's only got 11 days remaining on his current WWE contract.

The detail came about after Hardy shared photos of himself holding both the Maryland Championship Wrestling and the Extreme Rising championships back in 2014 in a recent tweet with the caption, "I’ve always felt comfortable outside of the [WWE]."

The tweet provoked a response from a fan, who assumed Matt was issuing a "thinly-veiled passive-aggressive threat" to his current employers.

"Not a threat at all, just a fact. I have 11 days left on my current deal," Hardy replied. "I love [WWE], but I’m 100% comfortable being outside the walls of pro wrestling’s "Alexandria" Safe-Zone. I’m a born SURVIVALIST," he added, before insisting that his "previous tweet will NEVAH face DELETION."

Sources tell Pro Wrestling Sheet Jeff Hardy's deal is also close to being up and all sides are working to come to an agreement on the terms for their contract options, but nothing has been finalized.
