Former WWE star Hideo Itami, who is once again known as KENTA, was victorious in his first post-WWE match at NJPW's G1 Climax 29 event in Dallas.

KENTA picked up the win after hitting the Go to Sleep on his opponent Kota Ibushi. As you'd expect, the match showcased lots of hard-hitting kicks and strikes.

After the match was over, KENTA showed respect for Ibushi with a handshake.

The wrestler formerly known as Hideo Itami last wrestled in January on 205 Live against Akira Tozawa. He was released by WWE in February. The 38-year-old made his first NJPW appearance last month to declare his intentions for the G1 Climax tournament.
