King Ricochet may be "The One and Only," but John Cena says Velveteen Dream could be "the one" when it comes to the future of sports entertainment.

Cena put over the 22-year-old NXT star during a question and answer session with fans at MegaCon in Orlando when asked whether he'd want to face Dream, Ricochet, or Adam Cole.

Cena quickly pointed to Velveteen and said, "You know how in the Star Wars movies the old Jedis can look at the rookie Jedis and be like, 'I think that's the one.' I kinda have a weird, odd midichlorian feeling about Velveteen Dream.  I think there's something special there."

During an interview two years ago on Talking Smack, Cena told hosts Renee Young and Daniel Bryan he's openly waiting for someone to step up and take his spot.

"Everybody asks me, 'hey, when are you moving over?' But if you look at what I've done, I just show up all the time and deliver," Cena said back in 2016. "I am waiting for someone after 14 years to show up all the time and deliver."

At his age, there's no doubt "The Dream" has the potential for a decade plus run on the main roster.  Could he truly be "the one?" Watch Jedi Master Cena's comments below.
