In the wake of Viceland's documentary on the Montreal Screwjob, referee of the infamous match Earl Hebner says he believes Bret Hart was in on the whole thing.

Hebner was interviewed Thursday on Sirius XM's Busted Open and said he believes both Shawn Michaels and Bret knew how the match was going to end ahead of time.

Host Bully Ray then clearly asked Hebner if he believes Bret was "in on the work" and Earl says yes. "I really do," he continued. "I'm not going to lie about it anymore. I've been trying to protect Bret."

As you probably recall, Vince McMahon immediately called for the bell in the match after Michaels locked in the Sharpshooter -- even though Hart never tapped out and was allegedly not in the know -- creating one of the most famous moments in wrestling history.

For those who haven't watched the Montreal Screwjob episode of "Dark Side of the Ring," Scott Hall suggest it was all a work. He points to the camera not cutting away when Bret spelled out WCW with his fingers and Hart spitting on Vince McMahon as reasons for his theory.
