CM Punk Moved to Tears During ’14 Rumble Testimony

cm punk crying tears brought to moved trial wwe dr amann colt cabana

CM Punk took the stand in his own defense Friday morning and was brought to tears while discussing the 2014 Royal Rumble.

During the fourth day of testimony, Punk acknowledged being bitter about wrestling becoming his entire life when he taped the Art of Wrestling interview with longtime friend Colt Cabana, according to Chicago Tribune reporter Gregory Pratt.

Punk told jurors he did the podcast to set the record straight for his fans about the separation with WWE and that the interview was meant to be truthful, just “two friends talking.” Additionally, Punk said his health wasn’t good in 2013 and 2014 citing headaches, sleeplessness, dizziness and nausea. “I’m sure I wasn’t fun to be around,” he told jurors.

While discussing the ’14 Rumble, the UFC fighter began to cry as he described his judgement as “poor” at the time. A break was then called to allow Punk time to compose himself.

According to Wrestlezone, — who published a full blow-by-blow of the proceedings — Colt Cabana was questioned by attorneys prior to Punk taking the stand and told them he never felt the podcast was a lie … saying, “I thought it was a wild story and people deserved to hear it.”

Colt also confirmed seeing the lump on Punk’s back labeling it disgusting, discolored, and raised.

Friday marked the fourth day of testimony. On Wednesday and Thursday, we heard from numerous people involved with the production of the 2014 Royal Rumble event.

The former WWE star ended the day by going over text messages between he and AJ Lee discussing the lump on his back. He also said the podcast interview allowed him to finally move on with his life … adding, “Everything was the truth, and I think the truth can hurt.”

FUN FACT: Punk confirmed under oath that his initials stand for “chick magnet.”

  • SI PUNK

It breaks my heart to know CM Punk cried. He is my favorite wrestler of all time. He deserve all the happiness in the world.

  • Louis

This should be on Judge Judy.

    • SinDelle Morte

      I’d watch it.

  • Devin McMusters

The WWE took way more from Punk than he got back from them.

If i was in the Jury, I see this lawsuit as WWE attempt to bully CM Punk.

From mocking his UFC Fight debut loss to Lawsuit. Hopefully CM Punk wins lawsuit cause he was telling his story. “truth hurts:

  • SinDelle Morte

He cried because he knows he is going to lose. His judgment was definitely poor. It’s a shame. Maybe he will learn that you can’t just make stuff up when you are angry.

    • Brent B.

Yes-you are a doctor and you were there-we all believe you.

      • SinDelle Morte

What does being a doctor have to do with anything? Have you actually read the trial notes? That’s exactly what he said. He also admitted that pretty much everything he claimed in the podcast wasn’t true.

        • Brent B.

That is not true. Is simply is not. You need a better source.

          • SinDelle Morte

I never even gave a source. Lol. But it has the initials WZ. They covered the entire trial and gave explicit, verbatim notes about every single thing that was said. They had a reporter from their website in the courtroom.

Or once again, keep defending a guy you don’t know by insulting strangers on the internet. Lol. He’ll notice you. One day.

          • Brent B.

Colt C was ON TRAIL and says what you said is a lie. Try again. You gave no source because you lied.

          • SinDelle Morte

LOL. K. Never mind that the testimony was published verbatim. You stick to that.

          • Brent B.

So Colt who was and on trial is lying but you are telling the truth and you are going against what he said? Yeah. Ok. Post the lies kid. Funny that again you claim to have a source but never post the alleged proof. Now why would someone do that? Oh-they are lying.

          • SinDelle Morte

Check the site wrestle zone. You’ll find a transcript of the entire trial. I can’t believe you actually still care about this.

          • Brent B.

Yet you don’t-that is why you keep lying. Because you don’t care. I got it.

          • Brent B.

You can listen to Colt’s podcast. He was there and on trial. He could have owed millions so I will trust his account as it mattered more to him. Did I mention that?

        • Brent B.

That is a lie. Stop believing all the dirt sheets kid. You a friend of the idiot doctor or something? Get real.

          • SinDelle Morte

Relax your tone, brother. Ain’t no need of that.

          • Brent B.

No-there is no need for you to lie to everyone. The fact that is all you can say confirms it. What is wrong with you? No one pays you enough attention or are a friend or relative?

          • SinDelle Morte

LOL. Check out a few other websites. One had a guy in the courtroom the entire time who was introduced to the court as a member of the press. Not sure if I can mention it here, but you’ll find it.

Or keep white knighting. Maybe he’ll notice you!!
