Legendary wrestling personality Bobby Heenan was hospitalized this morning after taking a fall at home ... and Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned doctors are now keeping a watchful eye on him.

Heenan was admitted to the hospital Wednesday morning and doctors told the family they want to keep him for the next 72 hours because his blood pressure is so low -- this according to David Herro, who we're told was authorized by Heenan's family to speak on their behalf.

Herro also says he was with Bobby in Las Vegas two weeks ago and the 71 year-old was in great spirits.

Due to the hospitalization, the WWE Hall of Famer has been forced to cancel his appearance this weekend in Milwaukee for the Super Friends Fan Fest.

We'll keep you updated on how his condition progresses.
