Vince McMahon is known to be a tough critic, but Asuka says the chairman was very happy this weekend after the first women's TLC match.

The new SmackDown Women's champ told Tokyo Sports (via rough translation) that Vince hugged her after the title win and said he was really happy because it was a good match.

For those who missed it, Asuka climbed the ladder to defeat Becky Lynch/Charlotte Flair following interference from Ronda Rousey to win her first main roster title.

Now that she's captured the title though, Asuka has her eyes set on WrestleMania. Telling Tokyo Sports that she wants to successfully defend the title at WM35 so that she can still hold the belt when WWE returns to Japan.

"The reason why I came to WWE is raising the quality of girls," Asuka explained while talking about her upcoming reign. "I want to make girls more recognizable, that is my mission."
