The Yemen-based branch of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda has made a public statement condemning the Saudi crown prince for allowing WWE events to take place ... claiming his attempt at westernization is "opening the door wide for corruption and moral degradation."

A Friday bulletin from Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), analyzed by the SITE Intelligence Group, was made public by London based news organization The Independent. The memo warned the crown prince's efforts to bring western culture to the conservative kingdom are "sinful projects."

“[Foreign] disbelieving wrestlers exposed their privates and on most of them was the sign of the cross, in front of a mixed gathering of young Muslim men and women,” the Al Qauda bulletin read.

The statement appeared to make reference to April's Greatest Royal Rumble event in the Saudi city of Jeddah. GRR was the first of many events expected in Saudi Arabia over the next decade.

Since becoming crown prince last year, Mohammad bin Salman has opened movie theaters and brought in the high-profile WWE event.
